Schitterend Niels, bedankt

Groet

The ENCOUNTER (IMO 9255775) passing the Vizcaya Bridge on 29 May 2019.

Several recent views of the Nervion River and Vizcaya Bridge, which links the towns of Portugalete and Las Arenas (Getxo). It is the world's oldest transporter bridge and was built in 1893, designed by Alberto Palacio, one of Gustave Eiffel's disciples. On 13 July 2006, the Vizcaya Bridge was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The last picture shows the steel factory of ArcelorMittal at Sestao (on the left), the town of Portugalete, the Vizcaya bridge and the 451m high Monte Serantes in the background.
