History:
Built as a deep sea bulk carrier with a capacity of 21,105 ton for the Camby Steamship Company.
Lengthened in 1969 what increased her capacity to 25,550 tons.Renamed in 1975 after Upper Lakes Group from Toronto, ON. aquired the ship in "St. Lawrence Navigator".
She was used in the coal trade from Vancouver, BC. to Hamilton, ON.through the Panama Canal, and a cargo of grain to Poland in 1977, experimental
Renamed in 1980 to "Canadian Navigator" and a new forebody was installed by the Port Weller Drydock, Port Weller, ON. (St. Catherines, ON.)
In april 2011, the Upper Lakes fleet was taken over by Algoma Central Corp. from St. Catherines, ON. and the ship was renamed in "Algoma Navigator".
